University of Central Missouri CISSP Prep Course

UCM has been recently asked by one of their strategic partners (THe Full Employement Counsel, FEC) to create a certification program to help local cyber security professional study for and pass the CISSP exam. The program is scheduled to begin on June 17th (technical section begins on July 10) and will conclude September 19th. Classes will begin on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm-9:00pm in KC MO to accommodate cyber professionals in that region.

  • Scholarships for Students - The FEC, is offering scholarships available for those who reside in the counties of Jackson, Cass, Clay, Platte and Ray counties in Missouri that also meet other requirements.

  • Paid Teaching opportunities for those who hold the CISSP certification - UCM is seeking a small group of CISSP certified individuals to join the effort as part-time and paid instructors.  A group approach is planned so that the instructors can focus on one or more of the eight domains that reflects their greatest strengths.

  • Opportunity to serve in an advisory capacity to help shape the CISSP prep curricula
